As I know how to brew beer – the only other beverage (except water) I need is coffee. So let’s see how this is done!
Went to a nice plantation near Antigua to learn the process from the very beginning.

THIS IS A LOT OF WORK!

Especially as the really good coffee apparently is still harvested by hand. I found it very interesting that the school holidays have been aligned with the coffee harvesting (November – March if I remember correctly). So the little ones can join their parents picking each and every coffee bean by it’s own!

For anyone who has the same question as I had when looking at the way the coffee is laid out for drying: the beans need to be turned around every 30 minutes or so – and the guys who do that are bored (what a surprise) – so they try to make their own “paintings” 🙂

Very interesting day – and the coffee at the end was fabulous!!!!
